On Saturday, October 27, Bill Donohue gave the keynote address at the 20th anniversary of the Society of Catholic Social Scientists on Long Island. Donohue spoke about his new book, Why Catholicism Matters.

Father Philip Eichner, the chairman of the Catholic League’s board of directors, opened the conference on October 26 and spoke on “Marianist Pedagogy as an Agent of New Evangelization.”

Dr. Stephen Krason, a political scientist at Franciscan University of Steubenville, and Dr. Joseph Varacalli, a sociologist at Nassau Community College, largely planned the event and serve on the Catholic League’s board of advisors.
