Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on “PAUL, Apostle of Christ,” which opens tomorrow:
This is a film Christians will warm to, especially as we approach Holy Week. Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ,” stars as Saint Luke, and James Faulkner as Saint Paul. They offer an accurate and moving account of the Gospel story as seen through the eyes of these two saints. Nero’s persecution of Christians, and their determination not to yield, makes this a gripping account of the power of faith. It is the right movie at the right time.
