Today’s Washington Times features a joint advertisement from Jews Against Anti-Christian Defamation and the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, titled “Catholics and Jews Join to Defend Pope Benedict XVI.”
At issue is the barbaric reaction from some segments of the Muslim world to the Holy Father’s speech at Regensburg University in Germany on September 12. These Catholics and Jews are calling on all people of good will to stand in defense of the pope and to condemn violence and intimidation.
